- Erwin, TN Summary Description of Job:
Mid-level designer responsible for performing design activities of assigned projects as outlined in project definitions with additional individual project responsibilities as assigned.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:
1.
Performs design functions independently with some supervisory oversight on projects.
2.
Produce design details of equipment, facilities, and structures in accordance with standards.
Knowledge of and ability to apply industry standards to designs is required.
3.
Consult with A/E firms, vendors, and construction contractors as required to fulfill assignments.
4.
Determine materials and equipment specifications and take offs for structures, processing and utility equipment.
5.
Assist engineers and designers with technical desigs.
Identify and work with others to resolve technical design issues.
6.
Responsible for individual assignments on large project teams.
7.
Assume direct responsibility for specific tasks as assigned.
8.
Maintain CADD systems as assigned.
Educational Requirements of Job:
A.
S.
- Graphic Design or 4 years CAD design experience.
Experience Requirements of Job (Beyond educational or equivalent):
With A.
S.
Degree, 6 - 8 years' experience as a CAD Designer with Microstation training or experience OR without degree 10 years CAD design/drafting experience.
