(Nuclear Fuel Services) - Erwin, TN Summary Description of Job:
The Human Performance Improvement (HPI) Specialist I position is responsible for instilling positive performance based behaviors with respect to the implementation of Human Performance (HuP) and Conduct of Operations (CONOPS) standards and expectations.
The position is expected to mentor/provide feedback advancing HuP principles, driving behavior, and ensuring operations reflect strong conduct of operations and nuclear safety culture principles.
The position will reinforce desired, safe behaviors and coach for undesired at-risk behaviors.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:
1.
Conduct / facilitate needed Human Performance Training classes.
2.
Engage and mentor all levels of workers, supervisors, and managers to ensure an integrated understanding of the principles of Human Performance, Conduct of Operations and behaviors of a healthy nuclear safety culture.
3.
Support HuP team activities through the reinforcement of the following:
Coach and mentor team facilitators, serve as a resource during the HuP gap lifecycle to bring consistency and incremental progress, etc.
4.
Lead Human Performance Critique (HuPC) investigations and advise/assist other investigatory teams on Human Performance and Safety Culture elements.
5.
Support NFS conduct and continuous improvement of the Operating Experience (OE) Program by:
Preparing OE screening packages, Monitoring the OE library for status changes of OE items and providing feedback of the effectiveness of the program.
6.
Support the continuous improvement of the observation process performed by all levels of management.
Analyze observation reports and make recommendations to improve safety, quality and reliability of plant operations.
7.
Support HP&L management during the administration of Safety Culture assessments and surveys.
This may include:
coordinating survey scheduling and administration for assessments & internal pulse surveys.
Schedule and coordinate group and individual interviews.
8.
Demonstrate effective organizational and time management, communication/training, and interpersonal skills.
9.
Execute other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Education Requirements of Job:

S.
- Science, Education, or related degree OR in lieu of B.
S.
degree 8 years' relevant experience Experience Requirements of Job (Beyond Educational or equivalent):
Three to five years' experience in training environment or in assigned program area.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
